Job Summary

Purba Business Centre is seeking a skilled Building Managing Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of our rental properties, including supervising rental agents and building superintendents, negotiating leases, and coordinating repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Supervise Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of rental agents and building superintendents to ensure excellent customer service and property management.
  • Lease Negotiation: Negotiate or approve rental or lease agreements on behalf of property owners, ensuring fair terms and conditions.
  • Property Maintenance: Coordinate the implementation of repairs, maintenance, and renovations, monitoring progress and costs to ensure timely completion.
  • Financial Management: Compile and maintain records of operating expenses and income, preparing expense and income reports for property owners.
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly to trouble calls from clients or tenants, ensuring their needs are met and resolving issues efficiently.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and other essential services.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees, promoting cultural understanding and integration.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting career advancement and professional growth.

Requirements: 2 years of experience in property management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong understanding of property management principles and practices. English language proficiency is required.

Work Terms: Permanent, 35 hours per week.
