Résidence Saint-Louis and Bruyère Village, a leading healthcare provider in Ontario, is seeking a part-time physiotherapist to join our team. As a physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, helping them to maintain their independence and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to address their needs.
- Physiotherapy Services: Deliver physiotherapy services to residents in long-term care and independent/assisted living settings, including exercises, manual therapy, and home exercise programs.
- Supervision and Education: Supervise Physiotherapy Support Personnel (PTA) and educate residents and their families on the use of mobility aids and assistive devices.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Registration: Registered with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario.
- Experience: 2-3 years of clinical practice experience, with a focus on geriatric population and chronic diseases.
- Skills: Strong physical assessment and treatment planning skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Language: Bilingual in French and English.
