About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction General Manager to join our team at Syms Canada Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and motivate a team of construction professionals to achieve project goals.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure all construction work meets the highest quality standards.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
