We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in supporting the Jordan's Principle initiative. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing services to First Nations children and families, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct social assessments and develop individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each client and family.
- Provide counseling, education, and support to clients and families, promoting empowerment and self-advocacy.
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Develop and implement group interventions and training programs to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and community engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and families, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and community-based practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.
