We are seeking a Senior Estimator to generate precise estimates for a diverse array of complex heavy civil infrastructure tenders. This role entails overseeing and managing all facets of construction projects from inception to completion at our headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrutinize plans and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and delineate project requirements.
  • Formulate comprehensive estimates for tender submissions across various heavy civil construction projects.
  • Foster and sustain robust, long-term relationships with clients.

Duties:

  • Evaluate project specifications and estimate requirements, devising a strategy for estimate development.
  • Review the scope of work, identify subcontractor packages, and secure subcontractor bids for inclusion in the estimate.
  • Prepare a detailed estimate in Hard Dollar, encompassing all self-performed items such as labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Conduct a risk analysis of the estimate and present the project execution plan and estimate details in a bid review meeting with management.
  • Collaborate on major project pursuits in joint ventures with partner firms.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in pre-qualifications, estimates, and contract negotiations for heavy civil construction projects.
  • A minimum of 7 years managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project initiation to closeout.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Engineer-in-Training (EIT), technical diploma, or extensive industry experience is required.
  • Proven ability to manage customer development, address issues, and provide exceptional service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Projects; experience with Hard Dollar is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a confidential, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Valid Driver's License.
