We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Facilitator to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As an Education Facilitator, you will play a key role in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of regional education programs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with regional staff to develop and implement education programs that meet the needs of healthcare professionals.
- Design and deliver education sessions on various topics, including patient-centered care, infection prevention, and adult education.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective education programs.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement in education programs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in education and healthcare.
- Current Active Practice Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Instructor Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Heart and Stroke Foundation).
- Certification in Adult Education or be willing to acquire Certification in Adult Education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of adult education, teaching and learning strategies.
- Minimum of five (5) years full-time nursing experience in a relevant healthcare practice setting and/or professional development.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within team and working group structures.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve in complex situations.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and support change.
- Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums.
- Good work and attendance record.
- Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
- All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
- Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
