About the Role

The Analysis and Business Solutions team at Desjardins is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Advisor to join our team. As a Senior Actuarial Advisor, you will play a key role in leading and conducting advanced analyses on various data sources, utilizing predictive modeling techniques to drive business solutions for internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct complex analyses on structured and unstructured data using advanced predictive modeling techniques.
  • Utilize analytics and statistical methods to develop business solutions for internal stakeholders, with a focus on innovation and value creation for clients.
  • Lead and construct complex mandates by diagnosing issues and advising on potential solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new advancements in advanced analytics and apply them to your work.
  • Communicate analysis results effectively to various internal stakeholders and management.
  • Represent the actuarial department on decision-making committees and in meetings.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and reference source in your field for other teams in the organization.
  • Coach more junior members of the team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in P&C Insurance knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, VBA, R.
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
  • Advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members, and/or clients.
