About the Role

BDO Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op/Intern to join our Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and assurance, working closely with our experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

  1. Apply technical knowledge to carry out work projects and assignments efficiently
  2. Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements in accordance with regulatory standards
  3. Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
  4. Build positive working relationships with clients and respond effectively to their requests and suggestions
  5. Communicate progress updates and issues to team members on an ongoing basis

Requirements

  1. Currently working towards a degree/diploma in accounting
  2. Desire to provide outstanding client service and commitment to teamwork
  3. Proven leadership skills and ability to take initiative
  4. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
