We are seeking a highly skilled AI Model Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Enterprise Model Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in overseeing, assessing, and managing the model risk associated with our AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Model Risk Management: Design and execute validation frameworks to identify risks associated with AI models, exploring considerations such as conceptual soundness, data processing, metric reproducibility & stability, benchmarking, robustness, uncertainty quantification, fairness, privacy, explainability, implementation controls, and more.
- Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and technology in AI and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to enhance our model validation processes and contribute to our knowledge pool.
- Collaboration and Governance: Work with cross-functional stakeholders to establish and promote best-practices related to MLOps, tooling, and IT infrastructure, and collaborate with model developers and business stakeholders to inventory applications of AI and machine learning at the bank.
- Education: Progress towards a PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Skills: Proficient programming skills in Python or a similar language, familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks and libraries, and experience with version control systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a risk-oriented mindset, and the ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
