We are in search of a motivated and forward-thinking individual who is committed to enhancing patient safety and improving the experiences of families utilizing our services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for birthing individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities

The Perinatal Governance and Quality Improvement Lead will:

  • Assist the Head of Perinatal Governance and Quality Improvement in the execution and coordination of the perinatal strategy, ensuring alignment with the overarching governance frameworks of the Trust.
  • Guarantee that the perinatal services comply with statutory obligations and clinical governance goals by supervising, evaluating, and reporting on the advancements of both national and local initiatives.
  • Oversee the clinical governance committees to ensure they are innovative, relevant, and promote sustainable enhancements in practice and learning.
  • Facilitate enhancements in quality and safety within maternity and neonatal services, ensuring adherence to Trust and National regulations, guidelines, and legislation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to foster a culture of safety within the division.
  • Ensure that safe, high-quality, and equitable services are accessible to all individuals utilizing our perinatal services.
