Position Overview: IT Technical Analyst - Project CoordinatorRoyal Roads University operates on the traditional lands of the Lekwungen-speaking Peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. We express our gratitude for the opportunity to learn and work in this rich cultural context.
The IT Technical Analyst (ITA) plays a crucial role within the Planning and Delivery team, collaborating closely with IT Services and various university stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions. This position encompasses all stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and operational delivery. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as the ITA will engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
The ITA is responsible for:
- Engaging with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and gathering requirements for development.
- Ensuring that the delivered products meet business expectations throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Coordinating projects to ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in a relevant technical field.
- Project management certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in solution analysis.
- Experience with integrated applications and complex business processes.
- Regular communication with stakeholders to gather user stories and translate them into technical requirements.
- Coordinating project lifecycles and producing necessary documentation.
- Experience in developing project artifacts such as work plans, resource allocation, milestone tracking, status reports, and project charters.
- Additional duties as assigned.
This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week. The salary range is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
