About the Role
This is a casual and temporary position within the Children and Youth Dental Program or Seniors Dental Program, reporting to the Supervisor, Child and Family Health. Under the guidance and direction of the Registered Dental Hygienist and/or Dentist, the successful candidate will provide dental assistant services as outlined in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide dental assistant services in the Children and Youth Dental Program or Seniors Dental Program
- Work under the guidance and direction of the Registered Dental Hygienist and/or Dentist
- Meet the qualifications and requirements outlined in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Community College Dental Assisting Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful completion of the National Dentist Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) exam and current certification by the Ontario Dental Assistants' Association (ODAA)
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
