Position OverviewWe are currently in search of a BIM Coordinator who has a robust background in large-scale Mixed-Use High-Rise, Institutional, and Commercial projects. This role is ideal for a proactive and dynamic individual who excels in a collaborative and fast-paced setting, becoming an integral part of our CAD/BIM Coordination Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all Revit projects while ensuring compliance with company standards, providing technical assistance, and mentoring project teams on the significance of adhering to established technical standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Revit troubleshooting and support to project teams.
- Resolve workflow challenges and technical issues collaboratively.
- Guide team members on BIM best practices and project specifications.
- Establish initial Revit models in accordance with BIM standards.
- Draft BIM Execution Plans that reflect company standards and procedures.
- Uphold and enforce company-wide BIM office standards.
- Educate and mentor staff on the importance of compliance with BIM standards.
- Oversee BIM project models, ensuring regular reviews for adherence to office standards and proper documentation practices.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to anticipate modeling requirements.
- Work closely with the CAD/BIM Coordination Team to address the educational needs of staff and projects.
- Create parametric families tailored to specific project requirements.
- Contribute to the development of innovative modeling and BIM-enabled design processes.
- Engage with the BIM team and clients on strategic discussions regarding BIM and its project benefits.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings with consultants and contractors.
- Participate in quality management initiatives to assess potential hires and mentor new employees on technical standards.
- Continuously enhance your expertise through professional development and research.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience with Revit and BIM methodologies, alongside five (5) years in architecture focused on large-scale complex projects.
- Expertise in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software.
- Strong understanding of legacy CAD applications, particularly AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey BIM concepts to both team members and clients.
- A relevant diploma or degree from an accredited institution.
- A collaborative mindset suited for a team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
