In the role of Indigenous Floatel Cultural Manager, you will play a crucial part in cultivating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere onboard the Floatel, while advocating for Indigenous principles and assisting the workforce.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute initiatives that foster inclusivity and honor Indigenous traditions.
  • Collaborate with team members to weave Indigenous cultural perspectives into everyday practices.
  • Organize community engagement activities and events to nurture a sense of unity.
  • Lead efforts to discourage non-inclusive actions and provide support to employees facing difficulties.
  • Conduct well-being assessments and connect team members with available support resources.
  • Facilitate interactions between the workforce and Indigenous representatives.
  • Coordinate wellness seminars focused on resilience and stress management.
  • Contribute to workplace culture committees to promote a nurturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Personal experience with Indigenous culture, with a preference for heritage from the Squamish Nation.
  • Educational background in Indigenous studies or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
