SAP ECommerce Solutions Java Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in ECommerce Solutions. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing core mechanisms for our widely used and long-lasting SAP Commerce Cloud product.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop the core part of the e-commerce solution.
  2. Actively address non-functional requirements such as performance, security, continuous integration, migration, and compatibility.
  3. Design and write automated tests in a cloud environment.
  4. Collaborate with product managers, architects, developers, quality specialists, and technical writers.
  5. Participate in peer reviews, technical discussions, and work as a member of an agile development team.
  6. Innovate development approaches while ensuring high product quality throughout the software development cycle.
  7. Continuously improve by collaborating with peers, sharing best practices, and enabling other team members.
  8. Work within a self-organizing, distributed team across multiple international locations.
  9. Understand the business processes of the topic you will be working for, and its bigger context.
  10. Continuous learning, innovating, and self-developing.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (preferably Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
  2. 10+ years of professional experience in software development, particularly in Java and the Spring framework.
  3. Expertise in relational databases.
  4. Experience in Test Automation.
  5. Strong commitment to producing high-quality, functional outcomes, and a solid understanding of security and performance concepts.
  6. Experience in a Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) environment, including related processes and tools.
  7. Ability to explain technical problems clearly and understand business requirements.
  8. Capability and enthusiasm to innovate, learn and adapt to evolving technologies and frameworks.
  9. Capability and willingness to work as part of a self-organizing team.
  10. Experience in working as part of a distributed and self-organizing team.
  11. Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
