About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic iForms team at Quadient. As a key member of our software development organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable software systems for the iForms platform and its integration with the larger Quadient software platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own, design, and develop software systems for the iForms platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Lead the technical direction and implementation of projects and specific domains, aligning with business goals and technical standards within the team and across Quadient software teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to our development teams, ensuring best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
  • Optimize and enhance application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the iForms platform remains innovative and competitive.
  • Document design decisions, system designs, and technical specifications.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in software development, designing and creating web applications.
  • Proven experience as a Staff Software Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with a strong aptitude for JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with frameworks like Angular and Vue and runtime environments like Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based technologies, particularly Kubernetes, AWS/EKS.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to diagnose software and team operational issues and work with leadership to implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with both back-end and front-end development is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
