Your Role

We are on the lookout for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to enhance our vibrant iForms team. You will leverage your extensive technical expertise and application development background to take ownership of the design vision for various solutions. Your ability to comprehend the overarching system architecture while delving into intricate implementation details will be crucial. You will adeptly communicate technical aspects to diverse audiences, including engineering teams, product managers, and senior leadership, while also providing mentorship and guidance to uphold best practices within our development community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust software systems for the iForms platform, ensuring seamless integration with the broader Quadient software ecosystem.
  • Steer the technical direction and execution of projects, aligning them with business objectives and technical standards across teams.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative features and enhancements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering an environment of growth and development within the team.
  • Champion best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
  • Enhance application performance, security, and scalability through optimization efforts.
  • Engage in code reviews, design evaluations, and architectural discussions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain the iForms platform's competitive edge.
  • Document design choices, system architectures, and technical specifications thoroughly.

Your Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in software development, specifically in designing and building web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Staff Software Engineer role or a comparable position.
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as Angular and Vue, along with runtime environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes and AWS/EKS.
  • Strong grasp of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to identify software and operational challenges and collaborate with leadership to implement improvements.
  • A commitment to participating at a leadership level to enhance development practices and the overall software platform.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in both back-end and front-end development is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
