Job Title: Equipment Operator - Utility 1 Materials Specialist

About the Role:

Burgundy Diamond Mines is a leading global diamond company focused on ethically sourced diamonds from mine to market. As a Materials Specialist - Utility 1 Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Materials Management & Logistics team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight Management: Check-off and sort incoming freight to ensure accurate inventory and efficient storage.
  • Aircraft Operations: Load and unload aircrafts with precision and attention to detail.
  • Fuel and Lube Delivery: Operate bulk fuel/lube trucks to deliver essential supplies to mining equipment.
  • Winter Road Activities: Participate in snow removal and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist in warehouse activities, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  • Equipment Safety and Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Driver's License: Class 1 driver's license with Airbrake certification an asset.
  • Experience: Previous heavy equipment operation experience.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with WHMIS and fuel delivery operations.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
