Position: Student Research Associate in Recreation and Aging Models
The Student Research Associate in Recreation and Aging Models will contribute to the Who Cares? research initiative within the Department of Therapeutic Recreation. Key responsibilities include:- Conducting thorough reviews and compiling interdisciplinary literature related to therapeutic recreation, dementia, aging, and innovative care models
- Preparing detailed annotated bibliographies
- Transcribing, coding, and analyzing qualitative data from interviews and focus groups
- Entering and managing survey data
- Participating in team meetings and community outreach events
- Engaging actively in various research activities
- Offering support to fellow researchers and study participants
Eligibility Criteria:
Domestic Students: Must be currently enrolled in courses at Douglas College or other accredited post-secondary institutions.
International Students: Must be enrolled in full-time studies at recognized post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. A study permit and SIN are mandatory.
Preference will be given to Douglas College students who meet the eligibility criteria.
