Aecon Utilities: A Leader in Utility Construction

We are seeking a skilled Lineperson to join our team at Aecon Utilities, a Canadian leader in utility construction. As a Lineperson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced Journeypersons in job safety planning and work execution.
  • Perform line construction, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate and maintain heavy and tracked equipment, including Radial Arm Diggers, Line Trucks, Cranes, and all-terrain equipment.
  • Provide support to client demands, including emergency calls and planned overtime.
  • Maintain personal and group safety at all times.

Requirements:

  • Power Lineperson Apprenticeship and Trade Certificate.
  • Utility experience constructing, installing, and maintaining overhead, underground, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial Electrical Utilities Regulations and provincial specific Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Valid Driver's License G and reliable transportation along with DZ.
  • Ability to climb towers and poles, work at heights, and work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
