Villaguer Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts using laser alignment systems
Work Environment

As a Drywall Taper, you will work at heights, in dusty environments, and in various locations. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent physical capabilities.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Dependability, reliability, and teamwork skills
Workplace Information
  • On-the-road job with 40 hours of work per week
