Press Operator Role Overview

As a vital member of our team at Godin Productions Ltd, the Press Operator is responsible for overseeing the printing process, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production.

  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Guide the press team on product specifications and material needs.
    • Install plates or cylinders and perform necessary adjustments.
    • Develop and manage production schedules.
    • Analyze job orders to ascertain production timelines, color sequences, and required quantities.
    • Fill ink reservoirs and manage color and viscosity levels.
    • Design production methodologies.
    • Set up the press and operate at a reduced speed to verify sample quality.
    • Continuously monitor press operations for quality assurance using a computer control interface.
    • Clean and remove plates and cylinders post-production runs.
    • Set up and fine-tune in-line binding and finishing machinery.
    • Lead the press team in setting up, operating, and shutting down printing equipment.
  • Work Environment and Skills Needed:
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic setting.
