Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Information Management Lead to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Regional Banking Reporting team, you will be responsible for executing our Regional Banking Reporting strategy, specifically related to Performance Analytics and Reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reporting and metrics based on Regional Banking prioritized features, supporting Regional Banking practice management and incentive strategies.
  • Collaborate with Retail reporting team and IT teams to leverage diversity of skills and experience, optimizing project execution efficiency.
  • Design and develop high-impact, timely information that actively supports sales and service employees, leaders, advisory groups, executive, and national office to manage performance, productivity, capacity, and financial decisions.
  • Provide concise, timely, and insightful reporting to various stakeholders, including senior management on relevant matters relating to the Cards portfolio.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for report simplification and improving the field reporting environment through the elimination, consolidation, and enhancement of report production and distribution, strategic planning of reporting that will support KPIs.
Requirements
  • Expert Python/SQL programming and strong knowledge of relational database concepts/design with excellent scripting skills and experience with automation, ability to independently data mine across multiple data sources.
  • Expert knowledge in BI tools integration and architecture (e.g., Tableau/Oracle OAS).
  • Hands-on experience in applying agile practices, ability to facilitate constructive debate and resolve disagreements and conflicts constructively, ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Knowledgeable in system thinking, design thinking, and organizational behavior with a broad understanding of (OBI/Teradata/Data Lake) infrastructure technology.
  • Ability to develop and foster teamwork, ability to gauge the state of the team to drive necessary actions to improve.
  • Comfortable in ambiguous environments, able to lead with little direction and set strategic goals and outcomes based on experience, considerable amount of creative, innovative, and analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RBC experience with thorough working knowledge of DWE (RBDM, IDM, EDW, etc.).
  • Exposure to reporting both front-end and back-end development in Oracle BI, Tableau.
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL, 3+ years' experience in Python.
