Key Responsibilities- Transportation
- Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
- Load and unload goods at designated locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes.
- Logistics and Communication
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with central dispatch to receive and relay information.
- Safety and Security
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly securing loads and using tarps as needed.
- Monitor and report any safety concerns or issues.
- Certifications and Licenses
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Experience
- Experience as a long haul truck driver is an asset.
- Language
- Fluency in English is required.
This is a permanent position requiring a 50-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
