Providence Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Maternity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to new mothers and their babies.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Care Delivery: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on healthy pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, and provide emotional support and guidance throughout the process.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes, and report any concerns or issues to supervisors or other relevant parties.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in maternity care, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Licensure: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Certifications: Current neonatal resuscitation certification and other relevant certifications.
- Competitive Salary: $41.42-$55.91 per hour, depending on experience.
