Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the credit risk management function, with a particular emphasis on portfolio management.
- Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Perform portfolio deep dives and analysis to assess risk exposures, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and optimize risk-return trade-offs.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, business units, and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and risk management.
- Participate in annual risk appetite refresh, including establishing, back testing, and calibrating credit and portfolio metrics, limits, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk metrics, KRIs, and risk appetite metrics to senior management and relevant committees.
- Lead the development and implementation of stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing frameworks to assess the resilience of our portfolios under various economic scenarios.
- Support long- and short-term planning, new product development, and risk management meetings.
- Network within the industry to stay abreast of emerging risk trends and credit products.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, auditors, and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards.
