About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Aji Sai Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and utensils.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
    • Package take-out food and prepare simple food items for service.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality food presentation.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address any issues or concerns.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus and reliability.
    • Ability to multitask and work as a team player.
    • Positive attitude and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
