Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Maarut Inc. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business process improvement and strategic solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business objectives and document detailed business requirements.
  • Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with multiple stakeholders, articulating ideas and viewpoints to multiple stakeholders, and taking lead on resolving program issues.
  • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Manage business stakeholders on a large and complex program.
  • Analyze and document current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Lead comprehensive business cases outlining costs, benefits, and risks of proposed solutions.
  • Create functional specifications and user stories, ensuring they are clear, complete, and feasible for implementation.
  • Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and team members as needed.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users as necessary.
  • Define and document business processes involving current and future states.
  • Act as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical teams, consultants, and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of solutions.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for improving business processes through the use of technology and/or through business process changes.
  • Read and interpret technical literature and translate it in terms understandable to end-users or non-technical staff.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct business process reengineering/improvement projects and/or management reviews of programs.
  • Consolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Commerce, or an equivalent field and a minimum of 15 years of experience working as a business analyst/Senior business analyst. They must possess strong political acumen, strong critical thinking skills, and a high level of communication, consulting, and client relationship skills. The Analyst must be able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts to clients (internal or external) and to team members and negotiate change. They must also be capable of effectively identifying and framing problems, leading the collection of elements of information, and integrating this information to produce timely and thoughtful decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Accreditation from IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) is considered an asset, as is knowledge of the Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK).
