Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to encourage creativity and learning.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Own transportation or ability to use public transportation.
Work Environment:

Our child care centre is a noisy environment with a team of 5-10 people. You will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required.
