Network Engineer
In the role of a Network Engineer at MCAP, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the security, reliability, and efficiency of our organization's voice, data, video, and wireless network services. Your responsibilities will encompass the planning, design, and development of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate capacity requirements
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding network configurations, mappings, and disaster recovery plans
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify business needs and troubleshoot system issues
- Estimate, prioritize, and organize tasks to ensure timely delivery
- Conduct thorough research on network products, services, protocols, and standards
- Supervise upgrades of equipment and software
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed network solutions
- Configure networks to guarantee seamless operation for business functions
- Manage network asset tracking and monitor overall network performance
- Contribute to the management of network security measures and system backups
- Develop and test scripts to support routine operations
- Execute troubleshooting and root cause analysis as necessary
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with WAN networks
- Extensive knowledge of network technologies and automation
- Familiarity with ITIL and firewall technologies
- Technical expertise in TCP/IP, routing protocols, load balancing, and related areas
- Formal education in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Professional certifications are advantageous
