About the Role

The Opportunity

As a Respiratory Therapist at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, you will be at the forefront of transforming respiratory health with cutting-edge therapies and compassionate care. You will partner with a vibrant healthcare team to tackle diverse respiratory challenges, from managing chronic conditions to navigating acute crises. Your innovative approach and clinical expertise will make a profound impact, not only improving patients' breathing but also enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced respiratory therapies and techniques
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose and manage respiratory conditions
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and empowerment

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Respiratory Therapy program, including both didactic teaching and supervised clinical experience
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
