Director of Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to drive our technology forward. As a seasoned director or senior engineering leader, you will be responsible for guiding our engineering team to achieve scalability and excellence. You should have a proven track record of scaling services and systems, with experience in projects built for scalability. Additionally, you should be adept at managing and mentoring high-performing teams, nurturing talent, and guiding individuals toward professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
  2. Mentor managers to enhance their leadership capabilities and drive team performance.
  3. Organize strategic timelines and implement well-defined timelines and milestones.
  4. Promote positive culture and diversity throughout the engineering organization to achieve transformational change.
  5. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in technical support and customer service.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar role.
  3. Proficiency in working within a SaaS environment.
  4. Experience with cloud-based services (Azure, AWS).
  5. Experience with data and caching services (MySQL, NoSql, Redis).
  6. Experience with libraries and programming languages (PHP, Laravel, C#).
  7. Excellent organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  8. Passion for technology and capacity to excel in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  9. Ability to travel at least 4 weeks a year.
