Job Summary
The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled User Experience (UX) Design Expert to join our team as a Regular Part-Time Professor. As a UX Design and Evaluation Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of UX design, human-computer interaction, and usability engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach courses on UX design, human-computer interaction, and usability engineering
- Conduct research in UX design and human-computer interaction
- Mentor students in UX design projects
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement UX design curricula
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have a PhD in Psychology or a related field with a thesis in User Experience (UX). You must also have three to five years of industry experience demonstrating mastery of current practice and theory in all aspects of UX design and evaluation. Additionally, you must have expert knowledge of human-computer interaction theories and UX frameworks, as well as UX design, evaluation, and management practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary UX projects involving individuals with diverse backgrounds
- Expertise in UX design tools and methodologies
- Experience teaching and mentoring students in UX design
