Transmission Line Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineer to join our Engineering Services team at FortisBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing professional-level engineering assignments to support the effective operation and maintenance of our transmission systems and related capital projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform professional-level engineering assignments to support the effective operation and maintenance of FortisBC's transmission systems and related capital projects.
- Utilize engineering principles, standards, and practices to ensure designs effectively balance safety, health, environment, cost, construction, operation, maintenance, and performance criteria.
- Participate as a team member in specific phases of engineering assignments and ensure compliance with standards, best practice methodology, and quality assurance.
- Prepare appropriate documentation for assigned projects and support enhancements and process re-design projects, including concept and business case development.
- Perform in-depth analysis of data for input into plans; evaluate observations, and prepare technical reports of findings.
- Review portions of moderately complex plans, designs, applications, and permits.
- Collaborate with other engineers, design technicians, project managers, construction managers, operations, and others related to project assessment, definitions, and the coordination of work assignments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of own field of expertise and engage in development activities to maintain current knowledge and gain experience in more complex scenarios.

Requirements- A bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering from an accredited university.
