Job Title: Concrete Forms Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Forms Carpenter to join our team at Gordon N Gordon Interiors Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. They will also schedule and coordinate work on sites, estimate costs and materials, and identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies
  • Fill moulds with concrete
  • Perform light cleaning duties
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
