Medical Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Kingston Lawrence Medical Inc.
Job Summary:The Medical Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for providing technical support to our laboratory team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory tests and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Document Observations: Document observations on patients' specimens, ensuring accurate and detailed records.
- Examine Test Results: Examine the results of laboratory tests, identifying any anomalies or discrepancies.
- Calculate Billing Charges: Calculate billing charges for laboratory tests and procedures.
- Professionalism in Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients and healthcare professionals.
- Enter Data: Enter data according to specified formats, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Specimen Collection: Conduct specimen collection, ensuring proper handling and storage of samples.
- Education: Completion of a medical laboratory assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Experience working in a medical laboratory or clinical setting.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Word.
- Area of Specialization: Venipuncture experience an asset.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, hand-eye coordination, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, fast-paced environment, and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
