Position Overview

The role involves ensuring the educational and rehabilitative support of individuals in both institutional and community environments, following established intervention strategies in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The primary goal is to facilitate the rehabilitation and/or reintegration of individuals into society.

In this capacity, the professional will implement educational methodologies through daily activities, organize, coordinate, and lead scheduled programs to promote learning and the development of suitable attitudes and behaviors.

Key responsibilities include observing and assessing user behavior, contributing to the evaluation of their needs and capabilities, and meticulously documenting their progress.

Additionally, the position entails programming activities tailored to the users' requirements.


Opportunities Available:

There are numerous FULL-TIME positions open across various facilities in the Saguenay Lac-Saint-Jean region.

  • Particular demand exists for roles at the Rehabilitation and Intellectual Disability Center and the Youth Center.

Floating Team Positions:

Flexible roles with rotating shifts (day/evening/night) are available throughout the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, accommodating your location and availability (part-time or full-time).


Qualifications:
  • Specialized Education Technician: A college diploma in specialized education techniques is required.
  • Educator Class 1: A college diploma in delinquency intervention is necessary.
  • Educator Class 2: Various educational qualifications, including college diplomas, certificates, or completed bachelor's degrees in relevant intervention fields are acceptable.

Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel between facilities.
  • Availability for day, evening, and night shifts.
  • Membership in the Association of Specialized Educators of Quebec (AEESQ) is considered an asset.
