Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a community setting, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated clients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate client care and discharge.
  • Work independently in a variety of community settings, including homes, schools, and clinics.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • 2 years recent related experience preferred.
  • Satisfactory employment record required.
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional Wound Care & Diabetes course.
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses.
Working Conditions
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
  • Physically able to provide service in a wide variety of community settings under varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Use of reliable motor vehicle suitable for all environmental conditions.
