Facilities Support Services Lead

We are seeking a Facilities Support Services Lead to oversee a dedicated team responsible for ensuring a safe and secure atmosphere across multiple sites. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in facilities management and supervisory experience, ideally within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on assistance to guarantee the effective provision of equipment and services.
  • Direct facilities support services for various service delivery entities.
  • Guide and mentor a diverse workforce to ensure responsive service that meets regional standards.
  • Provide insights regarding facilities assets and equipment at designated locations.
  • Serve as a liaison with health service delivery organizations and capital planning teams.
  • Coordinate incident management and business continuity strategies for assigned sites.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory experience in facilities management.
  • Proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a unionized setting.
  • Familiarity with maintenance logistics and safety training protocols.

Educational Background:

  • Post-secondary degree in facilities management or a related field.
  • Certifications in facilities management, Lean Six Sigma, and project management are advantageous.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with a relevant regulatory body.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership abilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to work safely in various physical environments.
  • Must be able to lift and transport items weighing between 15-23 kg.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to provide coverage at different locations within the region as needed.
