We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Facility Patient Care Manager at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA). This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical health services and facility operations for a site/local geographical area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to staff to achieve operational priorities, including financial sustainability, patient flow, patient experience, quality/safety, and staff engagement.
- Ensure strong communication pathways between onsite staff, scheduling, and managers.
- Foster interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships to ensure high standards of patient care through modeling care and service with compassion and respect.
- Support system flow by facilitating transfers to and from other facilities based on capacity management protocols and patient needs.
- Make decisions and ensure availability of staff based on sick calls and required short-term scheduling impacts to maintain safe operation of clinical services.
- Support implementation and change initiatives.
- Manage emergency situations and support staff well-being and communication protocols based on approved algorithms and pathways.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a patient care setting.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited institution.
- Active membership in a relevant regulatory body.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work safely in a computerized office environment.
