Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Administer Network Infrastructure: Ensure the stability and security of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer problem-solving services to network users, resolving technical issues and providing guidance on network usage.
  • Implement Security Measures: Develop and implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and its users.
  • Perform Routine Network Maintenance: Conduct regular network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining control records and ensuring network efficiency.
  • Set Up Network Connections: Establish local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Monitor Network Performance: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, optimizing server performance and ensuring network stability.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network administration.
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of networking software, hardware, and security principles.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Consulting firm.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
  • Travel: Willing to travel regularly, with travel expenses paid by the employer.
