Position Overview:

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. This role requires a high level of autonomy as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation group, focusing on the assessment and treatment of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver targeted interventions for both pediatric and adult populations.
  • Engage in consultation and provide educational resources to parents, caregivers, and the community.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of rehabilitation services with a client-centered approach.
  • Supervise and mentor students and provisional members in the field.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
  • Eligibility for membership with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to foster professional relationships within the healthcare community.
  • Commitment to respecting cultural diversity.
  • Fluency in both official languages is essential for designated bilingual roles.
  • Capability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.
  • Adherence to confidentiality standards across various formats.
  • Consistent work attendance and performance record.

Employment Conditions:

  • Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and relevant registry checks.
