Job Summary:

The Produce Supervisor is a key member of the Thrifty Foods team, responsible for ensuring a superior customer service experience in the produce department. This role involves coaching and developing friendly, well-trained staff to provide exceptional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the produce department to achieve sales and profit goals
  • Coach and develop staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Stay current with weekly and in-store specials
  • Ensure accurate labeling of products
  • Run, monitor, and analyze sales data reports
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with SOP, OH&S, food safety, and other corporate initiatives
  • Recruit, train, develop, motivate, and coach employees
  • Participate in final inventory calculations
  • Follow store lock-up procedures

Requirements:

  • Full knowledge of department operations and skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
