Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations within a dining establishment, ensuring that all aspects of food preparation and service meet established standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience in food service is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective work schedules to optimize staff productivity.
  • Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Recruit and train new food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Prepare financial budgets and cost projections.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Compile and present operational reports as needed.
  • Establish and adjust work schedules as necessary.
