Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for exceptional talent to enhance our Corporate Services team, contributing to our construction operations by leveraging your expertise across various business initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and rectify security vulnerabilities in the organization's data management processes.
- Design, configure, and implement technologies for data loss prevention and insider risk management to safeguard sensitive information.
- Conduct quality assurance testing to validate software functionality in accordance with our change management protocols.
- Assess technical controls to ensure compliance with security requirements aligned with the NIST Framework.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the control framework, including the creation and upkeep of documented standards, processes, and procedures.
- Evaluate organizational IT systems and security measures, recommending enhancements as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects to ensure security considerations are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Actively engage in IT audits, serving as a liaison to external audit teams and addressing their recommendations.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of controls, including segregation of duties, to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies; identify risks and collaborate with teams to propose improvements.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the cybersecurity awareness program, including developing training materials and conducting presentations for end-users.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in cybersecurity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field, with 5-10 years of experience in audit or compliance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security control assessments or audits.
- Knowledge of information security standards and privacy laws or regulatory requirements applicable in Canada and/or the US.
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Experience with Active Directory, enterprise data loss prevention, insider threat solutions, and Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to implement new processes or procedures effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or ISAAP are preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an asset.
