About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at H & S Insulation as an Insulation Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our team with various tasks related to insulation and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring they are properly secured and transported to the work site.
  • Erecting and Dismantling: Help erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mixing and Spreading: Assist in mixing and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt, ensuring they are applied correctly and efficiently.
  • Supporting Medical Examiners: Provide assistance to medical examiners as needed, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Demolition: Help with demolishing buildings, ensuring all materials are properly removed and disposed of.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work, including removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Support for Youths: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, helping to develop the skills and knowledge of young people.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in government or community programs that support veterans, recognizing the valuable contributions they make to our society.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, promoting reconciliation and understanding.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in government or community programs that support visible minorities, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Work Term and Language: This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week in English.
