Job Summary

Urban Effects Cabinetry is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in North Eastern Ontario. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our products and services to customers in the region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including sales and merchandising tactics that improve productivity, product knowledge, and selling sessions.
  • Sales Planning and Achievement: Outline an area business plan that supports company goals and targets, grow the business by increasing listings and gaining shelf/off-shelf space for new and existing products, and develop and build on relationships with key decision makers and sales staff.
  • Reporting and Communication: Liaise with internal departments, communicate accomplishments, threats, opportunities, and related issues in a timely fashion to management, and participate in special projects, including new store set-ups, overnight resets, tradeshows, and weekend events.
  • Other Responsibilities: Assist in the development and set-up of product line and customer-specific plan-o-grams, assist in the development and model prototype creation of merchandising and POP for in-store use, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing is preferred or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the province in which you are working.
  • 2-5 years of in-store merchandising service or outside sales experience.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starting individual with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and honed interpersonal skills.
  • A proven track record of superior customer service and sales accomplishment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating high levels of honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to develop and follow a sales plan for the area.
  • Retail store experience or course work in merchandising/retailing is an asset.
  • Experience building in-store displays and prototypes using hand/power tools.
  • Overnight travel (including air) and willingness to work non-standard hours as required.
  • Willingness to relocate (realignment of account/store responsibilities).
