JOB DESCRIPTION

AAA Canada is seeking a skilled Production Methods Specialist to enhance our team with their expertise.

The Production Methods Specialist is responsible for assessing, developing, and documenting the production and manufacturing guidelines that adhere to the required standards of quality. This role involves participating in various enhancement initiatives, establishing new production benchmarks, optimizing operational efficiency, and striving to reduce machining time and streamline work processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and articulate the work instructions necessary for the production of industrial goods (including structural, mechanical, and electrical assembly) based on technical schematics. Analyze production costs and timeframes for each task. Streamline implementation timelines and production resources. Monitor various documentation (compliance with instructions, technical responses, non-conformities, procedures, etc.). Engage in the selection of manufacturing techniques and the enhancement of production tools. Provide technical support (addressing issues while considering potential setbacks). Act as a technical liaison between the Production and Engineering departments. Drive continuous improvement of existing production processes while evaluating the technical implications of unexecuted tasks. Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement technical solutions. Document modification requests and changes for the Engineering team. Maintain a dashboard to track and assess task progress. Notify supervisors of any non-compliance or significant issues.

Skills and Qualifications

A technical Diploma of College Studies or equivalent. Extensive experience in the aeronautics industry. A minimum of 5 years in a similar role. Familiarity with aircraft systems (including hydraulic and electrical systems, fuel systems, aircraft structure, and assembly). Proficiency in Catia V5 and SAP. Strong skills in priority management, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Capacity to plan for both internal and external requirements. A proactive, adaptable approach with a collaborative spirit.

Required Experience

Previous experience in a comparable role, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
