Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Primary Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our team at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing curriculum in the area of physical education and health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop curriculum in physical education and health
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in physical education and health education

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in education or related field
  • Specialist qualification in physical education and health
  • Recent experience teaching full-time in a school or working in school administration
  • Experience implementing the Ontario curriculum in physical education and health
  • Current qualification in physical education and health
  • Ability to apply the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers
