Objective:
The Assistant Manager for Residential Properties, under the guidance of a Senior Property Manager, Regional Manager, or Director of Operations, will oversee a collection of residential units. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Collaboration:
    Actively participates in achieving team goals, sharing responsibility for projects, and fostering a collaborative decision-making environment. Embraces diversity and addresses conflicts constructively.
  • Staff Management:
    Supervise and lead administrative and operational personnel within the assigned properties, ensuring effective performance management.
  • Customer Relations:
    Uphold the highest standards of service for residents and owners, ensuring prompt communication regarding any concerns. Manage resident activities to foster respect and goodwill, with a focus on retention and effective resolution of complaints.
  • Administrative Duties:
    Oversee timely rent collection processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Handle invoicing and review rental applications, maintaining accurate management reports and preparing annual budgets.
  • Property Maintenance:
    Ensure compliance with property management standards, including safety regulations and emergency protocols. Conduct inspections, coordinate maintenance work, and manage service contracts effectively.
  • Leadership:
    Act as a supportive leader within the Residential Property Management Team, proposing enhancements to management processes.

Scope of Work:
Report directly to the Senior Property Manager or Regional Manager, collaborating closely with other property management professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Minimum of a High School diploma; preference for a College Degree or Industry Designation. Proficiency in English and basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of two years in residential property management or a related field is required.

Skills:
Demonstrated values of honesty, integrity, respect, and trust. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are crucial, along with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to manage stress effectively.

Special Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is necessary, along with the flexibility to be on call and work outside of regular hours.
